UNHRC adopts consensus resolution on Sri Lanka to promote accountability, reconciliation and human rights  The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) at its ongoing 30th session in Geneva, on Thursday through consensus adopted a resolution on Sri Lanka on accountability for the alleged human rights violations during war in Sri Lanka. The resolution A/HRC/30/L.29 "Promoting reconciliation, accountability and human rights in Sri Lanka" was submitted on September 24 by the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, United Kingdom and the United States and backed by Sri Lanka.
