UN appreciates the services of Sri Lankan Aviation Unit in South Sudan at medal ceremony

The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) recognized Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) Aviation Unit in South Sudan at a colorful medal ceremony recently.The third contingent of the Sri Lanka Aviation Unit of the United Nations Missions in South Sudan (UNMISS) was presented with the UN medal at the UN peace keeping "Medal Awarding Ceremony" on 23rd March 2018.A total of 85 airmen and 19 Officers including the contingent Commander Wing Commander Prassanna Kuruwita received their UN Peacekeeping Medals during the parade.The Director Aeronautical Engineering AVM MD Rathnayake graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Head of Field Office of Bor for UNMISS,…………….Please Log in or Subscribe to view full details…..
