Sri Lankan President says he ended an 'unhappy marriage'

Sri Lanka President Maithripala Sirisena today said he had well realized within a year after forming the unity government that he entered into an 'incompatible marriage' with Ranil Wickremesinghe as prime minister. President Sirisena today explained to the United Peoples' Freedom Alliance (UPFA) parliamentary group the reasons for his decision to appoint Mahinda Rajapaksa as the Prime Minister to replace Wickremesinghe. The President this evening presided over a meeting with the UPFA parliamentary group with participation of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at the President's Office this evening.
