Sri Lankan President holds talks with Indian Prime Minister Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena held talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi today on the sidelines of the BRICS Outreach Summit in Goa, India. Following the meeting with Prime Minister Modi, President Sirisena in a Twitter message said he discussed ways to deepen Sri Lanka-India relations and how Sri Lanka can play a stronger role in the region. Prime Minister Modi said Sri Lanka is one of India's most valued friends and the two countries are working to further deepen the bilateral ties. "Wonderful meeting with President @MaithripalaS.
