Sri Lankan PM solicits foreign advice for government's future development plans

Sri Lanka's Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, who is participating in the 2017 Annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, has received many offers of support for the future development of the island nation. The Sri Lankan Premier met several heads of states including the leaders of China, Bangladesh, Serbia and Switzerland Tuesday on the sideline of the forum. Meeting with the Chinese President Xi Jinping, Prime Minister Wickremesinghe discussed the Chinese investments in Sri Lanka exchanged views on the Hambantota Port, investment zone and financial city being built in Colombo.
