Sri Lanka to purchase Mi-17 Helicopters from Russia for UN missions - Ambassador

Sri Lanka is conducting negotiations with Russia to purchase a new batch of Russian Mi-17 helicopters, which the country will use in UN peacekeeping mission, according to a report by Russian state news agency, Sputnik. Sri Lankan Ambassador to Russia Dayan Jayatilleka has told Sputnik on Sunday that there is a commission that discusses the purchase of Mi-17 helicopters and the country was going to purchase the helicopters for taking part in UN peacekeeping missions..................
