Sri Lanka's main Tamil party, Tamil National Alliance (TNA) today welcomed the adoption of UNHRC resolution 34/L 1 which reaffirms the full implementation of resolution 30/1 of 2015, promoting reconciliation, accountability and human rights in Sri Lanka. The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) Thursday without a vote adopted the consensus resolution on Sri Lanka which proposes to give two more years beyond 2017 to fulfil the commitments made in the 2015 resolution for reconciliation and transnational justice. Sri Lanka cosponsored the HRC34/1 as it did with HRC30/1 in 2015.
