Sri Lanka President slated to announce the snap presidential polls after November 19  Political sources in Sri Lanka predict that President Mahinda Rajapaksa would announce a snap election for a third term after he completes four years in his second tenure as the President. Local media speculate that the President would call for the presidential election after November 19th and the announcement would be issued on November 20th. The presidential election is expected to be held in the second week of January 2015. Ruling Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) launched a political office last week to organize the party election campaigns.
