Sri Lanka Navy is sending a 150-member contingent to Darwin, Australia to participate in this year's multilateral regional maritime exercise, KAKADU 2018. The biennial exercise is hosted by the Royal Australian Navy from 30th August to 16th September.Sri Lanka Navy Ship Sindurala left Trincomalee harbor on Monday (20th August) amidst a traditional naval sendoff with a complement of 150 including 26 officers and 124 sailors. The ship is scheduled to reach Australia on 29th August.The multilateral naval exercise will kick off on 30th August along the Darwin beach area in Australia.
