Sri Lanka Navy rescues 3 distressed Indian fishermen in northern waters  Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) has come to the aid of three Indian fishermen distressed in the seas off the northern coast of Jaffna Peninsula. A SLN craft on routine patrol has spotted the three Indian fishermen in distress within Sri Lankan waters, off Analativu Sunday 20th September. The fishermen had been drifting due to shortage of fuel and a technical defect in their fishing trawler, when they were spotted by the Navy craft. The Navy towed their defective fishing trawler with the rescued Indian fishermen to Karainagar Naval Base to render repair assistance.
