Sri Lanka Navy concludes VBSS training course hosted for foreign naval partners

Sri Lanka Navy conducted a specialized Visit Board Search and Seizure (VBSS) training course for Coast Guard and Navy officers of Bangladesh, Maldives and Sri Lanka. The specialized training is provided upon a request of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, (UNODC).

The two week-long course organized for the fourth time by the Sri Lanka Navy in coordination with the UNODC Programme, is attended by a total of 20 Naval and Coast Guard personnel - 8 Naval personnel of Bangladesh, 7 Naval personnel of Maldives and 1 Coast Guard Officer and 7 sailors of Sri Lanka Navy.................................
