Sri Lanka Navy commissions Sri Lanka Coast Guard Ship Suraksha

State Minister of Defense, Ruwan Wijewardene  commissioned vessel provided by Indian Coast Guard to Sri Lanka Navy amid  blessings invoked by religious dignitaries representing Buddhist, Hindu, Christian and Islamic religions, handed over commissioning warrant to Commanding Officer of SLCGS Suraksha, Captain Neville Ubayasiri,Kapila Waidyaratne, Taranjit Singh Sandh and Vice Admiral Travis Sinniah participated,newly commissioned ship to be used by Sri Lanka Coast Guard for patrolling and surveillance in Sri Lanka waters, humanitarian assistance and disaster response operations, prevention of maritime pollution as well as training purposes.…………….Please Log in or Subscribe to view full details…..
