Sri Lanka Navy arrests 36Sri Lanka Navy arrests 36Tamil Nadu fishermen   Sri Lanka naval personnel on Wednesday have arrested 36 Tamil Nadu fishermen in two separate incidents while fishing near Neduntheevu and Katchatheevu islet. The fishermen from a village in Pudukkottai district and Rameswaram have been arrested for allegedly fishing in Sri Lankan waters, Press Trust of India reported. Sri Lankan Navy men arrested 24 fishermen in six boats near Neduntheevu and another 12 in three boats Katchatheevu islet, according to an Indian fisheries department official. The 24 fishermen were part of a larger group from Jegathapattinam who put out to sea this morning. After their arrest, they were taken to Kankasanthurai Harbor, the official has said.
