Sri Lanka gives clearance to resume the China funded Colombo Port project - report The Sri Lankan government has given all the necessary clearances to resume the controversial Colombo Port City project funded by China, the Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake has said, according to a report. "We have given all the necessary clearances. Now it is up to the investors to sort out the minor details," Ravi Karunanayake, Sri Lanka's Finance Minister told the South China Morning Post newspaper. "On our part, the government is happy with the environmental impact assessment [EIA] report for the project. It is now under public consultation," he said.
