Sri Lanka Army releases 39 acres of occupied land in the East

Sri Lanka Army complying with the President's directive to release all military occupied lands to the rightful owners, has released another plot of occupied lands in the Eastern Province.The Army on Friday (18) symbolically released 39.75 acres of Army-used Lands in Pallekadu in the Eastern province under the Kalmunai Divisional Secretariat of Ampara District.Major General Aruna Jayasekera, Commander, Security Forces-East handed over formal documents to the lands to Governor of the Eastern Province, M. L. A. M Hizbullah during a brief ceremony held at the Divisional Secretariat in Ampara..................
