Royal Navy, Japanese and Russian Navy Ships on Visit to Port of Colombo

HMS Montrose, a frigate of the Royal Navy, was in Colombo as part of her routine deployment in the Indian Ocean. The Captain and crew welcomed on board students from Colombo and Galle, and during a tour of ship explained to them how the ship's state-of-the-art helicopter, radar and missile defense technology is used.  Sri Lanka Navy, in accordance with naval traditions, has welcomed the Russian Navy ship, Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov arrived at the port of Colombo on a goodwill visit today (03rd April).
