OSINT Report: Sri Lanka To Move Southern Naval Command to Hambantota Amidst Controversies

With an attempt to quell controversy over security of the Chinese built and operated Hambantota Port in the South, Sri Lanka Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe's office clarified on 30 June that Sri Lanka Navy will be in charge of port's security. "The Sri Lanka navy is moving its Southern Command to Hambantota," Prime Minister's Office said as per the Colombo Page.
