Indian fishermen leave for Sri Lanka to salvage detained boats

50-member fishermen team from Tamil Nadu sailed from Mandapam Coast Guard Station to Sri Lanka to salvage seven of 42 fishing boats released by island nation, likely to reach Karainagar by evening, entire salvage mission coordinated with support of Indian high commission in Jaffna and Sri Lankan navy, Times of India reported,seven fishing trawlers  to  tow seven boats anchored at Karainagar naval base in Sri Lanka.since February 2015, Sri Lankan naval agencies confiscated more than 180 fishing crafts, which sailed from Tamil Nadu and Karaikal  to Puducherry, on charges of poaching in territorial waters of island nation.…………….Please Log in or Subscribe to view full details…..
