  Extremist Buddhist monks disrupt meeting of families of disappeared persons in Colombo    A mob led by extremist Buddhist monks today disrupted a meeting of the family members of the disappeared persons of Sri Lanka. As the Buddhist monk led mob invaded the venue of the meeting, Center for Society and Religion in Colombo, the police, appeared to be in support of the mob, intervened and asked the organizers to stop the meeting. In reply to the Buddhist monks' allegation that the meeting was illegal, leading human rights activist Nimalka Fernando said that the people from north to south of the island have the right to meet and discuss their problems.
