Chinese naval escort taskforce helps starving Sri Lankan fishing workers  A warship of the 21st Chinese naval escort taskforce sailing in the Bay of Bengal provided food and other relief materials for the hungry and thirsty fishing workers on a Sri Lankan fishing boat on Jan. 24, local time. At about 11 a.m., the guided-missile frigate Liuzhou, one of three warships of the Chinese escort fleet, found a fishing boat, on which several fishermen kept waving their hands and making a gesture for help. Wang Kai, captain of the frigate Liuzhou, immediately gave the command "Stop". The Sri Lankan fishing boat by the name of "KUDAWELLA" approached the Liuzhou 10 minutes later.
