Australian ships arrive in Sri Lanka for Indo-Pacific Endeavour 2019

Four Royal Australian Navy ships HMAS Canberra, Success, Newcastle, and Parramatta taking part in the annual multilateral defense cooperation exercise Indo-Pacific Endeavour 2019 (IPE 19) arrived in Sri Lanka Saturday. HMAS Canberra and HMAS Newcastle arrived at the port of Colombo while HMAS Success and HMAS Parramatta entered the port of Trincomalee. The ships on their arrival were welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in accordance with naval traditions. Australia launched Indo-Pacific Endeavour 19 with the deployment of the four ships from Fremantle in Western Australia on March 11. The exercise will bring an Australian Defense Force (ADF) Joint Task Force to Sri Lanka and several other South and South East Asian nations with the aim of strengthening the cooperation on maritime affairs in the Indian Ocean...............
