Pakistan Prime Minister’s Ajmer Visit – A Review India Pakistan relations saw another attempt that could have acted as a prompt for improved interaction. A request on behalf of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Raja Parvez Ashraf for a private visit to Ajmer Sharif came through the High Commission in New Delhi. Mr Ashraf visited on 9 March. He was accompanied by members of his family. The External Affairs Minister, Shri Salman Khurshid, hosted a lunch for him at Hotel Rambagh Palace in Jaipur, following which the Prime Minister departed for Ajmer. Upon completion of ziarat and prayers at Ajmer, the visiting Prime Minister returned to Jaipur on the same evening and took a special flight back to Islamabad.
