Pakistan Media Calls for Action Against Jaish, Abdicating Terrorist Groups

Days before Pakistan’s National Day, Dawn and Daily Times call for review of state policy of supporting terrorism and fawning over terrorist leaders as Masood Azhar. In the wake of the Pulwama terrorist attack followed by the Balakot air strike by the Indian Air Force and Pakistan’s response thereof, there is a surge in nationalism in Pakistan [and India as well] with the media swaying to mood of the public. In the aftermath of an armed skirmish it would be out of place for even the most independent media to question the state’s intent to defend its sovereignty. It is only after the nationalist fervour has died down that there has been a call for review of the State policy of providing shelter to groups as the Jaish e Mohammad and overall dalliance of state authorities with terrorist groups and their leaders................................
