India Pakistan Spar over FATF Report

Review carried out of Pakistan which has been placed on the grey list of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) indicated on 21 June 2019 at Orlando, USA, that while on June 2018, Pakistan made a high-level political commitment to work with the FATF and APG to strengthen its AML/CFT regime and to address its strategic counter-terrorist financing-related deficiencies, Pakistan has taken steps towards improving its AML/CFT regime, including the recent development of its TF risk assessment addendum. However the FATF statement said, Pakistan does not demonstrate a proper understanding of the country’s transnational TF risk.The Pakistan should continue to work on implementing its action plan to address its strategic deficiencies....................
