Imran Khan To Secure Vote for PM in the First Round

As Pakistan National Assembly is set to vote for the prime ministerial post, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan will secure the mandatory number of 172 ayes that are required to be elected in the first round. In fact News International Pakistan predicts that Imran may secure 180 votes while his rival the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shahbaz Sharif is likely to have about 95 votes. Here is how? Pakistan National Assembly (NA) has 342 Seats, 272 members are directly elected whereas 70 seats are reserved, 60 for women and 10 for minorities. The reserved seats are allocated by the Election Commission of Pakistan based on the formula of - Total Direct NA seats won by the Party in each province divided by the Reserved seats of that province.
