Review of US China Second Diplomatic & Security Dialogue

While enhancing strategic communication between the minister secretaries on both sides, the Second US China Diplomatic & Security Dialogue underlined persistent differences over core issues to include Iran nuclear deal, South China Sea and Freedom of Navigation Operations are likely to continue. US Secretary of State Michael (Mike) R Pompeo, Secretary of Defense James Mattis, Chinese Politburo Member Yang Jiechi, and Chinese State Councilor and Defense Minister General Wei Fenghe held a joint press conference on 9 November after holding the second U.S.-China Diplomatic & Security Dialogue, China and US version of the 2 + 2 Dialogue between India and the US which was held on 6 September this year for the first time.  Interestingly the Chinese official news agencies Xinhua News Agency and CCTN reporters asked questions to Defence Minister Wei and State Counsellor Yang thus providing them an opportunity to expand on their policies.......................................................................[1650 Words].
