Outlining the course of conflict (not war) in the Middle East

Iran is ranged against multiple Gulf Arab states Saudi Arabia, United  Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain supported by the United States and Israel. Qatar and Oman the other Gulf Cooperation Council members are on the sidelines of this divide with considerable leverages over principal players Each have a handle in the regions fault lines – Palestine and Gaza, Syria (yet unsettled despite Hafeez Asaad having gained control over territory, Iraq and Yemen. The Persian Gulf is being added to this pantheon of conflicts in a zone where traditional rivalries are deep rooted and stretch back to centuries. Apparently none of the countries are interested in a real war, not even the United States where the National Security Adviser John Bolton and his team perhaps being the only ones rooting for bloody encounters. United States House Speaker Nancy Pelosi emphasised that there is no congressional sanctions for a War. “I like what I hear from the president — that he has no appetite on this,” she said. She noted, “This is part of a pattern that is not right because we have responsibilities — the responsibility in the Constitution is for the Congress to declare war, so I hope the president’s advisers recognize that they have no authorization to go forward in any way.”..............................
