Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said that Moscow would keep bombing militant targets in Syria's Idlib Province if need be, but would also open humanitarian corridors to allow civilians to flee.Lavrov was speaking in Berlin on September 14 ahead of a meeting with German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas.Quoted by the Interfax news agency, Lavrov said that the Russian Air force would strike what he called terrorist weapons-making facilities but would also encourage local reconciliation deals.Ahead of their talks, Maas said he would warn Lavrov that a major military offensive on the last Syrian rebel stronghold of Idlib Province risks triggering a “humanitarian catastrophe.”
