Security forces working to restore normalcy after quake in Nepal While the government was come under criticism for its slow response in the immediate aftermath of the recent earthquake, the security agencies are working hard to provide health and other services to those in need, reports Arjun Poudel in Republica on June 12. Earlier a report by IANS on May 18 stated a meeting of the Nepal cabinet decided to recommend to President Ram Baran Yadav the deployment of the army till the middle of July to carry out relief work following the massive destruction caused by the April 25 earthquake and its many aftershocks.
