Party and Government Consolidate Nepal China relations Ahead of President Xi Jinping Visit

Nepal is expecting visit of Chinese President Xi in October even as he visits India on 11 October for the second informal summit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Chennai. The Chinese President will visit Kathmandu, and extensive political preparations have been made for the same at the government and the Party level by both sides. Ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) signed a relevant memorandum of understanding on cooperation on 24 September establishing a sisterly relationship

The MOU was signed by Madhav Kumar Nepal, head of the NCP's Foreign Relations Department and Song Tao, the head of CPC's International Relations Department. On the same day a two-day closed-door symposium was concluded attended by cadres of the ruling NCP and visiting delegation of the CPC on how NCP should move ahead in terms of ideology, party organization and development model in Kathmandu...................
