India - Nepal army Joint Training Exercise Armies of Nepal and India have made preparations for a joint military exercise at Saljhandi of Rupandehi district, likely to start from the third week of February. An infantry battalion of the Indian Army will join an equally strong battalion of the Nepal Army (NA) in the joint military exercise titled Ex- Surya Kiran-VI, according to NA Directorate of Public Relations (DPR).      India and Nepal have been gradually enhancing military cooperation over the years. India agreed to resume military aid to Nepal in 2013 before India imposed an embargo in February 2005 following the seizure of power by the then King Gyanendra.
