Center and Jharkhand Govt new strategy to deal with Naxals  After a long period of no major incidence since 2007, the Jharkhand government is now preparing for a decisive battle against the Naxal menace in the state, reports the Indian Express on March 17. Earlier in January state CM Raghubar Das and the then chief secretary Sajal Chakrabarty had said they would soon end LWE activities in the state. There were major reshuffle in the top officials and security officials in the state. Rajiv Gauba, the additional secretary in-charge of LWE affairs in the Union Home Ministry and DGP D K Pandey who was also IG, operations, of the CRPF in Jharkhand earlier were brought in as the Chief Secretary and additional director general operations of CRPF by the new BJP government.   A...
