UJC chief speaks out on polls in J & K  – Kashmir news service                First round of polling was held in Jammu and Kashmir on November 25 with a record of about  71% voter turn-out. BBC on 26 November reported that Tuesday’s voting was “probably the highest” in the record of the state. Comparatively, the voter turn-out was  61 % in the last election in 2008. The news report stated that according to analyst the high turnout this time round is significant, with the hardliners' call for a boycott. While some analyst observed that the boycott call could turn out in favour of the BJP, others claimed that Muslim voters have come out in larger numbers to stop the BJP from winn...
