Pak NSC Denies Role in Pulwama, Authorises Military Response

Facing a triple whammy of protests & threats from neighbours India, Afghanistan and Iran, Pakistan convened a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) at the Prime Minister's Office on 21 February, a week after the Pulwama Attack in Kashmir which had drawn intensively aggressive reaction from the Indian side. The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan The NSC as expected denied the involvement of "the state of Pakistan is not involved in any way, means or form in the said [Pulwama] incident" and that it was "conceived, planned and executed indigenously". An offer was made to India for dialogue. "We expect India to positively respond to the offers," it added and Pakistan "shall take action against anyone found using our soil [for terrorism]"..........................
