Kashmir: Hot Days in Run Up to UN General Assembly Session As Kashmir enters the Seventieth day of lockdown on 16 September after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist leader Burhan Wani on 08 July complexities may be increasing. The government strategy appears to be to wear down the Hurriyat Conference commonly known as Separatists who have now issued a programme of bandhs till 22 September. Reports indicate that there is no laxity given in the evening hours as well indicating hardening of the stand. The intention appears to be to extend the unrest beyond the UN General Assembly Session 71st Session of which is due to convene for general debate on 20 September.
