India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi congratulated his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe, on victory in the snap polls held on Sunday.  "Heartiest greetings to my dear friend Shinzo Abe on his big election win. Look forward to further strengthen India-Japan relations with him", the Prime Minister said as per the Press Information Bureau release in the PMO Colunm. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was said to have gambled by calling for an early election and this has paid off even though many felt that the decision was politically risky. India Japan relations are due to benefit given that Mr Abe is a staunch Indophile and has sustained the partnership through many decades of interactions with the Indian leadership...................
