India Opposes China's Maritime Silk Road Chinese President Xi Jinping's dream international connectivity project to revive the "Silk Routes" was designed by Beijing in its "national interest" without consulting others, reports Charu Sudan Kasturi in The Telegraph on July 20. Quoting Indian foreign secretary S. Jaishankar the report said that this was the first detailed public comments by New Delhi on the initiative signaling sharp reservations.
