India Long Range Forecast Update for the Southwest Monsoon Seasonal Rainfall 2017

The second stage forecast of Southwest monsoon seasonal rainfall was issued by Indian Meteorological Department(IMD) in New Delhi. IMD has forecast that quantitatively, the monsoon seasonal rainfall for the country as a whole is likely to be 98% of the Long Period Average (LPA) with an error of ± 4%. Ø Rainfall over the country as a whole for the 2017 southwest monsoon season (June to September) is most likely to be NORMAL (96% to 104% of long period average (LPA)).
