China tells India to calm down after Maldives trade deal

 

Beijing state media said, after Maldives approved deal with world’s second biggest economy, India will do nothing but upset itself if tries to prevent closer trade ties between China and Maldives, Free Trade Agreement reportedly stunned New Delhi into silence but Global Times said China, largest source of tourists for Maldives and denied there s any political intrigue to deal,Its understandable that Maldivian government resorts to signing FTA to further attract Chinese tourists by making inexpensive Chinese goods as instant noodles available on Maldivian market,Formal negotiations for FTA commenced in late 2015 and concluded last September,two countries would reduce tariffs of over 95 percent of goods to zero and commit to opening service market such as finance, healthcare and tourism and agreed to cooperate practically in key areas.…………….Please Log in or Subscribe to view full details…..
