Uri Attack: Military Response Options For India The major terrorist attack in Uri at an administrative base today (18 September) has shaken the nation. This attack is the third major cross-border strike in 2016, the first being Pathankot on the night01/02 January 2016, the second one in Poonch on 11/12 September. The circumstances of the attack at the Uri administrative base has been outlined by a post on Facebook by HQ Northern Command of the Indian Army which states, “On the early hours of 18 September 2016, a group of heavily armed terrorists targeted the rear administrative base of a unit at Uri, Kashmir.
