Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan’s Structural Weaknesses & India’s Policy Options

Nawaz Sharif has gone, his fate was perhaps inevitable the day he was sworn in as the Prime Minister after a thumping majority for his Party the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) after the 2013 National Assembly elections. Amongst other factors, this is the outcome of many structural weaknesses of Pakistan as a state entity of which the political class is a major impediment. Given the structural weaknesses of Pakistan thus New Delhi needs to adopt policies that factor these in – further deliberation of which would be necessary?
