India to support strengthening Sri Lanka police, crime control

 India's Minister of Home Affairs Rajnath Singh meeting with the Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has said that India will support strengthening of Sri Lanka police to control crime.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe during his official visit to India from October 18-20 held bilateral discussions with the Home Affairs Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday in New Delhi on further strengthening cooperation between India and Sri Lanka on issues pertaining to security and terrorism in the region.

The Minister of Home Affairs also told the Premier that 750 jeeps will also be provided to regularize the mobile services of the Sri Lanka Police. The two sides exchanged views on the training courses for Sri Lankan security personnel as well.
