The Pulwama suicide terrorist attack on 14 February (2019) has once again brought the option of a punitive cross border strike in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir or POK to the forefront. Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi on the occasion of an official function of inaugurating the high speed Vande Bharat Express between New Delhi and Varansi from New Delhi Railway Station on 15 February categorically stated, “We have given full freedom to the security forces. ...............I want to tell the terror outfits and those aiding and abetting them that they have made a big mistake. They will have to pay a very heavy price for their actions.............. Let me assure the nation that those behind this attack, the perpetrators of this attack will be punished”.............
