Two days after release, Sharmila rearrested In what has become an annual ritual, Irom Chanu Sharmila was today rearrested by the police on charges of fasting onto death. The anti-Armed Forces Special Powers Act crusader was arrested around 11 am from Shahid Minar at BT Road by a team of City Police acompanied by another team of the Imphal West District Police led by two high ranking officers. The police teams were also accompanied by a medical team of the JNIMS who have been looking after Sharmila.
