State govt to urge Centre for peace talks with militant groups in Myanmar

State chief minister, N Biren stated that he would be urging the central government for initiating negotiation and peace talks with the state militant groups currently sheltering in Myanmar.He was responding to posers by media persons on the sidelines of inaugural function of the conference on “Connecting India’s North-East with North-West Region of Myanmar: Roadmap for all-round Prosperity” held today at Classic Grande, Chingmeirong.Speaking to media, Biren stated that the ongoing crackdown on the militant groups by Myanmarese army is also a major concern of the state government as there have been widespread bloodsheds among the Myanmarese army and the militants.Earlier, the Indian government accused the Myanmar government of harbouring the militants. .......................
