Both the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee and the Bharatiya Janata Dal Party Manipur refused to comment on the report “Centre bends backward to transfer freshly minted cash to the NSCN-IM” which was originally carried by the web journal The Quint and reproduced in the local media. Meanwhile, a source from Ukhrul said if the chopper which reportedly carried the money from Guwahati landed at Ukhul then it was meant for the people of Ukhrul and not for the NSCN (IM).
