Propsed Model Indo Myanmar Border Management   A major militant ambush on an Indian Army convoy on 4 June 2015 in Manipur’s Chandel district has underlined the necessity for more effective management of the Indo Myanmar border. The 1643 km India Myanmar border spans Indian states of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram and Myanmar’s Kachin state, Sagaing region and Chin state.    State-wise length of the borders in India is Arunachal Pradesh 520, Nagaland 215, Manipur 398, Mizoram 510 kms each. The longest border is with Sagaing region followed by Chin and the Kachin. In 2010 the Naga Self-Administered Zone (NSAZ) was carved out of the Sagaing Region, which has a fair degree of autonomy.
