No radioactive material detected from package found at Moreh: Experts


A team of experts today has ruled out the detection of any radioactive materials from the mystery package which was recovered from Moreh Ward No.VII town yesterday, initially believed to be Uranium.A team comprising of Physics department of Manipur University, Radiology department of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) and technical experts from Liberal college went to the spot to conduct an investigation.The expert team informed IFP that they have not detected any radioactive readings from the package despite having used Gama survey meter.The mystery object was found at the residential area of Moreh Ward No. VII around 8:30 am, abandoned by an unidentified man.....................
