Kaladan project to boost development of northeastern states

“The 1,400 km long, India–Myanmar–Thailand (IMT) highway constructed to link India and the rest of Southeast Asia through northeastern states of India via Moreh of Manipur is the largest infrastructure aim to link India to international markets. The Kaladan project is expected to boost the development of India’s economically backward northeastern states that share borders with Myanmar,” said works minister,Kaladan Multi Modal Project and Prospective Infrastructure Opportunities for NE India,’ held at Lamyanba Shanglen which was organised by Forum for awareness of national security(FANS), Manipur Chapter,Manipur as a transit route, it may give advantages for many illegal trafficking like drugs etc. It may cause serious impacts to the public due to lack of security.ikhom and vice president FANS, S.
