Consultative committee formed in view of Naga peace talk: Biren

“With the possibility of the peace talk between NSCN-IM and central government to expire within a year, a consultative committee of the state government formed by two government representatives and valley based civil bodies of Manipur, conducted a joint meeting yesterday to discuss precautionary measures,  stated by chief minister, N. Biren who said that the meeting was held in his presence. He was speaking at a press conference held today at its state party office located at Canchipur, Imphal West. He said the main objective of the consultative committee is to monitor the peace talk at national level from time to time, and with an aim to unite the ethnic communities of the State, Biren expressed his appreciation the positive steps of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and union home minister, Amit Shah for scrapping article 307 and 35(A) from Jammu and Kashmir yesterday on the floor of Lok Sabha. With the removal of article 307 and 35 (A) a citizen of India can move freely in Jammu and Kashmir without permission, he added.
